Christmas is a time for giving, for being thankful, and most of all for spending quality time with family and friends. At SILGON, creators of Casa de Campo Living, The Weekly, TODO Casa de Campo and CasaLife, we have so much for which we feel thankful this holiday season, but most of all for the opportunity to have spent yet another year as part of the Casa de Campo community, sharing and covering everything that makes us one big family.
Casa de Campo doesn’t wait for Christmas to give and the endless philanthropic events we were part of this year are a true testament to this fabulous community’s giving spirit. From the Fundación MIR Magical Splendor Gala (get your tickets for the 2016 edition coming up in January!), Family Weekend and Medical Missions, the Hogar del Niño’s monthly Café de la Leche, Night for the Kids and Casa de Campo Corre, Orfanato Niños de Cristo Day of Fun and Games, and even supporting the “Río Salao: Misión Posible” project, this year was certainly another wonderful year of giving in Casa.
This year of fabulous events and happenings in Casa has been one for the history books, and as a company, we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to grow with the community as well. During this merry season we reflect on a year of exhilarating changes, and we are ever more excited and committed to continue serving as ambassadors for our community and spreading the love we have for Casa de Campo.
This year SILGON celebrated the 10th year anniversary of CasaLife, 4 million article views in Casa de Campo Living, and we went international after acquiring Plano Profile, a sister publication based out of Plano, Texas, allowing us to move our corporate headquarters there in order to continue replicating what has worked so well in Casa de Campo in other communities. Our team is strong and ever more committed to continue being the official source of community information in Casa.
On a personal note, I want to thank everyone who has welcomed me with open arms in Casa. Rebecca and Philip moved to Texas with the acquisition of Plano Profile and the opening of our headquarters there, leaving me in charge of our DR operations just around 6 months after joining the team. Throughout the year I have noticed how much love the community has for Philip and Rebecca and it was wonderful to get to know everyone who truly loves what they have built within SILGON – I’m honored to be part of this community and team. Additionally, receiving a bit of the love everyone has for them has been a blessing for me. Thank you for your support and I look forward to getting to know more of you.
From all of us at SILGON, we wish you the happiest of Christmas Days and many blessings for the New Year!
