Casa de Campo is preparing itself for the next Flavors of the World food event! Just two weeks ago, we were out and about in the Marina and Minitas Beach partaking in the best from Miami chefs of the Pubbelly Group, Matador Room, and Alter. On August 19th-21st, Italy comes to us with the spellbinding cuisine of Alba Esteve Ruiz from Marzapane in Rome.

“Flavors of the World,” is a gastronomic journey highlighting the collection of casual, gourmet, and fine-dining options in Casa de Campo that are monthly occurrences through November. These must-attend foodie weekends have become quite the trend in our luxurious resort, attracting local actors, designers, and fashion bloggers who rave about their fabulous weekends on social media. August brings the excuse to arrange your stay in Casa de Campo because nothing quite like Alba Esteve Ruiz has come here before.

The young Spanish chef began working in restaurants in Alicante and Valencia, and in Girona at the El Celler de Can Roca, but relocated to Civitella Casanova and then Rome. From the kitchen renovation of Marzapane to the menu itself, Alba’s touch brings success and excellent reviews, earning the title “Emerging Chef 2014” by Gambero Rosso guide. The Marzapane identifies with traditional and memorable ingredients from their Mediterranean origin, with a nod to old Parisian life and essential style, “a little bistro day after day.” Now, Casa de Campo community members and guests have the opportunity to embark on a journey with the Marzapane’s esteemed chef, along with the resort’s Executive Chef Anthony Masas in August at La Piazzetta restaurant in Altos de Chavón and allow evocative flavors to transform into an experience.

La Piazzetta hosted their first “Wine and Pleasures” night on June 18th, also know as “paradise on earth” for those of us wine lovers! The tasting was organized by Argentinian wine publication, Pleasures Time, who wanted to bring friends and wine distributors from all over the world here to Casa de Campo. Read more about it here!
