A couple of weeks ago we announced that the MIR Bazaar will begin the 1st of April and with it the traditional fashion show as well as the Sugar Tournament hosted by Alfy Fanjul, but that is not all you will be able to do over the weekend. The Fundación MIR has prepared a tour of their three schools for you to visit!
During the visit, you will be able to meet the children and young adults you are helping out with your contributions to the Fundación MIR. They run 3 schools that cater to the needs of more than 1,000 children: the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR(infants school).
The young boys and girls will be showing us what they do in each of the technical areas that are offered in the vocational schools, such as gastronomy, electricity, accounting and hospitality. In addition, the smaller children will have a brief presentation of what they have learned thus far this year.
Let’s continue to support this beautiful cause and help guarantee a better future for these girls and boys! View the information below to RSVP.
While we wait for April 1st, let’s take a mini tour of our own and get to know a bit more of these schools. Click the links to our past articles to continue:
