The event will benefit the “Adopt a Crib” program of the Hogar del Niño and boast many delicious favors for attendees. It’s got us twitching with excitement!
As we speak Gilbert Andrew is adding decorative lighting to the newly revamped landscape outside – he’s also the master DJ in charge of the evening…You may remember him rocking it until dawn at Robert’s 51st birthday celebration. Hors d’ouevres are in the works at Dido’s restaurant in La Romana, and the items for auction are rolling in! A personal makeover by Robert García himself is up for bid, as well as a luxury massage from his spa’s new massage therapist, and the ultimate manicure & pedicure. Unique stoneware jewelry by RDA Joyas will be featured in the auction, in addition to some special artwork by ingenious creator Jorge de Oleo- we elaborated he did all of the wall murals in the salon in our article, “The Robert García Experience”. To add to the list, SBG La Marina will be offering a gift certificate to dine at their gorgeous location on the water, and more items are still coming in; all proceeds go to the “Adopt a Crib” program.

The Hogar del Niño
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
