It is with bittersweet emotions that we inform you that our friends Viktorija Seijas and Jorien Van der Meij, current owners of Boutique de Bordado, are closing the store we all know and love in La Romana. With Viktorija and her husband moving to the Netherlands to achieve big and better things, and Jorien focused on her new project as a financial auditor and consultant, they are passing on Boutique de Bordado to someone that can give it all the love and attention they gave it – in Higuey! In the meantime, they are having a special close-out sale for Mother’s Day that is the perfect opportunity for you to get your mom something special!
In June the shop is moving with its new owner to Higuey and Jorien and Vicktorija are excited to have found someone that is interested in continuing the work they started 2 years ago. “We are very grateful for all the support we have received from our Casa de Campo clients and friends and happy for what we were able to accomplish,” said Viktorija from the Neatherlands. Jorien mentioned, “we are proud to have been able to provide a beautiful, timely and great quality service focusing on exceeding our clients’ expectations”.
Their Mother’s Day specials includes a a 25% discount on all items, and 15% on towels. Read all about it below PLUS take a ride down memory lane and remember some of the great things they did.
As always thank you Jorien and Vicktorija for providing us with a amazing place where we could always find the most delicate and beautiful pieces and best of luck for your future endeavors!

Boutique de Bordado has specials this month! In the Dominican Republic, we celebrate Mother’s Day on the last Sunday of May (May 29th), and what better gift to mom is there than one that’s personalized!
Do you know Jorien van der Meij? How about Viktorija Seijas? Together these two young and ambitious Casa de Campo residents have founded a new business here in Casa de Campo.
Jorien van der Meij and Viktorija Seijas, creators of Boutique de Bordado, a personalised embroidery service here in Casa de Campo and La Romana, hosted a fabulous tea party! The friendly gathering was hosted at Jorien’s home in the Casa de Campo neighborhood of El Polo.
Although the core function of the Cafe de la Leche is to gather milk supplies for the Hogar del Nino, this jolly monthly gathering is also a great way to share with friends.
Boutique de Bordado and Jatha Polk, Casa de Campo resident, are teaming up with some of our local schools, including the Abraham Lincoln School, St. John School, Punta Cana International School and a MALC (schools in Arizona, US) to support the Niños de Cristo Orphanage in La Romana.
