Exercise is a huge part of good health. It helps you look great, but it also helps boost energy, improve mood, maintain a healthy brain, decrease food cravings and even eliminate toxins. No matter what type of exercise you choose, the most important part is that you stick with it so here are some ways to rev up your routine!
Find a workout buddy
Accountability makes you much more likely to get to the gym when you’re supposed to. When someone’s waiting for you – you’re more likely to stick with it.
Remember your reasons
We all have different reasons for exercising. Some of us want to be stronger, get leaner, and be more flexible. They are all good reasons, but sometimes we forget. Write down all your reasons for working out so you can renew your commitment to yourself.
Do what you love
The only way to stick with it is to find something you truly love. There are so many different ways to get exercise, try a few different things until you find something you adore and then stick with it!
Working towards a specific goal can make it easier to keep your commitment. Set a date by when you’d like to achieve your goal, buy a calendar and mark off the days. Maybe aim for a 5K or being able to squat a certain weight. Whatever it is, work towards it!
Make it easy
No matter what time of day you workout try laying out your clothes and shoes the night before. Get your water bottle and gear ready, set a timer to remind you when to walk out the door and it will become an automatic part of your day.
