Attention golfers! Casa de Campo, with its exquisite and challenging golf courses designed by Pete Dye, one of the world’s most influential golf course architects in the past 60 years, makes the resort an unforgettable golfing retreat for the many golf enthusiasts who visit us from all over the world. Here, we can find the #1 Golf Course in the Caribbean, the Teeth of the Dog, along with the Links and the Dye Fore, all with incredible views of either the Chavón River or the Caribbean Sea. Most recently, the resort celebrated the 36th Casa de Campo Open and approximately 100 golfers from around the world were able to enjoy the resort’s most famous greens and oldest tournament. There are still lots of tournaments to sign up for, and so for all you golf lovers out there, here we’ve put together an overview of the upcoming list over the next several months.
2017 Upcoming Golf Tournaments
- Senior Golfers Week
November 4th -11th
This tournament will be played on Casa de Campo’s three wonderful golf courses: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and the Links with daily tournaments in fun and interesting formats. Packages start at USD$282 P/P for Pete Dye Golf Lodges, and USD$304.00 P/P for Elite Rooms.
- 10th David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic
November 30th – December 3rd
The David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic is well known for bringing together some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment to raise funds for the David Ortiz Children’s Fund which provides critical pediatric healthcare here in the Dominican Republic and throughout New England. This year’s event will take place right here in our piece of paradise, Casa de Campo! Read more about the tournament here.
- 11th Annual Casa de Campo Teeth of the Dog Twosome Championship
December 3th – 9th
Teams can consist of two members, either two amateurs or one amateur and one professional but not two professionals. The tournament will be played on the Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and the newly remodeled Links. Packages start at USD$352 P/P for Pete Dye Golf Lodges, and USD$436 P/P for Elite Rooms.
December 9th
The “El Ser Libre y Feliz International Golf Open 2017” will be played on one of Pete Dye’s designed courses, the Links in Stableford format divided into A and B Categories.The event is organized with the support of the United Nations Development Program and the National Disability Council (CONADIS) and will benefit the foundation’s pilot project, the Escuela de Educación Especial Padre Sebastian Cavalotto (Father Sebastian Cavalotto Special Needs School), helping more than 150 students! 2018 Pro-Am Series
For the tournament, teams will be divided into flights according to the total team handicap. Prizes will be awarded in each flight for net and gross winners, plus overall gross and net champions. Packages start at USD$565 P/P for Pete Dye Golf Lodges, and USD$649 P/P for Elite Rooms.

- Spring Shootout
April 18th – 22th
The ‘Spring Shootout’, one of the most popular springtime events in the Caribbean, is a 54-hole stroke play tournament using Stableford Scoring with net and gross divisions in each flight. The Shootout is normally played on the Teeth of the Dog, the Links and Dye Fore. Earlier this year, the 2017 tournament ended with a fun “White Dinner Party” and prize-giving ceremony at Lago Restaurant.
