A few weeks ago we got a taste of Peruvian cuisine with Chef Jaime Pesaque during Flavors of the World Peru, and this week on Friday, December 2nd we’ll have the opportunity for more amazing dishes from the region since Chinois is hosting a Peruvian buffet with guest-chef Freddy Padovani from Cuzco, Peru!
Chef Padovani who worked in Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness as a chef, which is part of the Aranwa Hotels Resorts & Spas, will bring a varied menu of delicacies from Peru. He’ll be assisted by Patricia Proaño, who is a Casa de Campo community member and her father is from Peru. She knows a lot about the country’s gastronomy and was particularly interested in acting as a sous-chef during this event after having had assisted to a private tasting with local restaurants owners at Chinois. Quinoa and pallares Taboulet
Cocktail potatoes with rosemary
Peruvian Spicy Creamed Chicken (Aji de gallina)
Mixed seafood and fish ‘Jalea’
Cilantro beef stew (Seco de Res)
Arroz blanco White Rice
Peruvian style beans
Three cheese and mushroom Quinoto
Various fresh vegetables
Three types of lettuce (Iceburg, romaine, arugula)
Peruvian caramel and liqueur meringue (Suspiro a la limeña)
For only RD $1,000 + tax you can enjoy an entrée, main dish and dessert.
