As June is in full swing and arriving with the warmest of days, Café de la Leche is helping us cool off with something fresh!Every month, we have a very special gathering with our friends at the Hogar del Niño to bring attention and care to the more than 200 babies in the crib room. NextThursday, June 16th Café de la Leche goes to Fresh Fresh and it’s the perfect way to meet up with ladies of Casa de Campo and be part of a wonderful cause.
Babies in the Hogar del Niño Crib Room are as young as a few weeks old up totwoyears of age. Most full-term babies need between 150ml and 200ml of formula per kilogram of their body weight every day!Read about our last visit to crib room and see why this cause is so important!
Last month the charitable and fun occasion took place at the beautiful remodeled villa of Cesarina de Grisolia where we had an enjoyable evening and were treated to ice-cold sangrias and homemade snacks.
This time Café de la Leche will be in none other than Fresh Fresh Café in Altos de Chavon! Normally on Fridays, Café de la Leche appears on Thursday of this month on June 16th. We can’t think of a better location for a hot summer day than there in the cozy and colorful interior enjoying refreshing smoothies and juices, or out on the patio catching the Chavón breeze! Plus, it’ll give us a great opportunity to hear all the smashing details of Fresh Fresh opening in Santo Domingo!

Café de la Leche at Fresh Fresh Café

The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
