The spring is in full bloom. Here are some of our favorite dishes and smoothies from Fresh Fresh in Altos de Chavón to enjoy during a warm spring afternoon. Head to the cobbles for fresh food and friendly atmosphere!
CRUDITE
Veggie Sticks, Hummus, Baba Ganoush, and Kalamata Olive Paste.
It is the perfect appetizer for a crisp snack or start to your meal. Creamy authentic hummus, smoky baba ganoush and slightly sour olive paste is artfully combined with fresh vegetable sticks and bell peppers and pita bread.
Not your average burger! This vegetarian take with a rice and beans patty still provides the similar texture of hamburger meat with its slight crunchiness of rice. The burger flavors blend well together with the guacamole sauce and ripe tomatoes that give the dish an unexpected juiciness and mouth-watering taste.
YUCA FRIES
The yuca fries are a perfect addition for the Chuela. Slightly seasoned on the outside, they are served with homemade, tangy curry sauce.
Our favorite salad option! Full of good protein and vitamins, this light salad option provides the nutrients you need without being overpowering. We loved the marinated roasted peppers hidden inside!
Such a flavorful mix of meat with salsa tahini – a sweet sesame based sauce. You wouldn’t expect rice and hummus to go together but it goes so well. It’s a great adaptation of a classical Arabic kofta kebab with a flavorful Dominican twist.
For those who like it hot! Hearty with chunky chicken, this fully stuffed burrito will make you question if you can finish it. The spicy pico de gallo and salsa verde kicked it up a notch but the burrito was balanced nicely by the combination of ingredients.
BERRY BERRY GOOD
Blueberries, Strawberries, Banana & Yogurt.
The jam-packed smoothie has a distinct taste of colorful berries. The banana provides a smooth texture and its base layer of yogurt gives a creamy succulent touch. It’s as good as picking berries straight from your orchard.
GREEN GLOW
Spinach, Kale, Avocado, Green Apple, Mango & Orange Juice.
So smooth with a stand-out taste of apple and mango, this heavy-on-the-greens mix should in no way be feared. It’s the perfect way to sneak some kale in your diet!
Did you know… that all the herbs come from their own garden?!? It doesn’t get fresher than Fresh Fresh!
