Our winter edition of CasaLife magazine has sailed in and is filled with an assortment of luxurious articles! Heesen’s 50M yacht takes the cover, setting the mood for the extravagant issue. Inside you’ll find a review of recent events both social and philanthropic, an interview with the founders of M. Costa Marine, the final edition of Designing Paradise, new trendy fashion statements, and an interview with David Ortiz and much, much more!

Miguel Torrón and Mónica Armenteros de Torrón founded M. Costa Marine four years ago and have become well known in the local community.  Their company specializes in representing and caring for the world’s leading yachts, personal watercrafts, and boat brands. Recently, they launched Intrepid Rendezvous, a boat party event, that showcases yachts and beautiful locations for customers and the community. Check out the interview for more on this fun company that believes “every boat brings a friend!”

Designing Paradise’s final segment of the series by David Peacock and Adolfo Despradel looks further into the original architectural aspects that make Casa de Campo beautifully unique. The use of coral adds to the natural design elements used in homes around the community and can be seen in many different styles from rough texture-filled walls to smoothened out pathways. The article dives into the story of the birth of La Marina and the contemporary designs that have followed its’ arrival. While many homes have increased in size and have a much more modern feel, architects have been careful to maintain the original Casa de Campo aesthetic, mixing newer concepts in with the old, being cautious to keep Casa de Campo’s character alive.

There are many trendy fashion spreads throughout the magazine from womens and mens fashion on the runway to inspired Casa de Campo trends. The predicted next big color in fashion this year is lavender and the next big thing is blazers.  Keep an eye out for shades of purple everywhere and watch for blazers styled new from the norm. Expect to see blazer sets, blazers with no shirts, and lavender blazers galore! In Casa de Campo, soft nautical-inspired separates have taken over amplifying this years casual yet elegant look.

David Ortiz, three-time major League Baseball World Series champion and holder of seven Silver Slugger awards, interviewed with CasaLife about his charity, the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.  This year, the Celebrity Golf Classic, an event benefiting his charity, celebrated its 10th year and raised 1.2 million dollars.  David Ortiz, better known as “Big Papi” is  extremely passionate about giving back and making a difference in the Dominican Republic! Read the interview for more in depth details on his efforts with the charity!
