We’re sure you already know that here in Casa de Campo we’re all about good food, and we not only love indulging in the many delicious gastronomic events available here to us in Casa, we also enjoy the search for nearby foodie events from time to time.

Not long ago, we shared our review of El Mediterraneo, and here’s yet another reason for you to hop on over to the tasty restaurant for an afternoon. This Saturday, February 20th, Eden Roc cordially invites you to taste a new level of fine dining in the hands of Patrick O’Connell, a self-taught chef and owner of “The Inn at Little Washington” in Washington, Virginia. From it’s early days in 1978, he has brought the restaurant to international recognition and has garnered FIVE stars from Forbes Travel Guide in 2015 for the 24th year in a row. With more than 50 years of experience in the world of fine cuisine, his menu constantly changes along with the seasons and his moods. Some refer to Chef Patrick O’Connell  as “The Pope of American Cuisine.”

He comes to the Dominican Republic as part of a chef — exchange program, that will also see Jacob Jasinski of Seasons at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island come April. The fantastic chefs will spend time in El Mediterraneo’s kitchen with Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini and whip up many savory delights. The Grand Dinner includes a welcome Champagne cocktail, 5-Course Menu, wine pairings and Cigar & Rum tasting after the dinner. Don’t miss a culinary experience like no other!
