It has suddenly started raining. Following months of dry, warm weather, I always feel like the rain takes us all by surprise. I was certainly very unpleasantly surprised when I just found myself without an umbrella and with very wet socks! So what is going on?

Today we celebrate the end of the hurricane season!
While it may not have felt like it, the last 6 months has been “hurricane season” in the Dominican Republic, and today Saturday November the 30th marks the official end of this rainy, windy season! Yippeee!
