Casa de Campo

Hello there! We here at SILGON are about to fill you in on some much anticipated news…all those articles we posted over the last year keeping you in the loop about the progress on Casa de Campo’s 2nd main entrance… well they may be coming to a close, because as we hear it, the new entrance is OPENING next week!

Rumor has it, the new main entrance will open December 15th, which is next Tuesday! At that point access will be open to the public and not just Casa de Campo villa owners with an automatic pass, with a reception and Villa Owners’ office and extended parking lot ready to receive visitors.

Construction began back in summer of 2014 and has come a long way since the initial renderings. Just a few months ago, access was granted to only to those with passes, but now with landscaping complete and all infrastructure details finalized, the new main entrance will be up and running in full force.

The other entrance with access to the town of La Romana will still remain open and fully functional, but if you’re coming from the La Romana Airport, Punta Cana, Bayahibe, Bavaro, or Santo Domingo on the Autopista del Coral highway, this gate gives you fast access from your origination. Within the resort, the new road leading into the heart of Casa de Campo has been named Avenida Rey Juan Carlos I after the King of Spain who inaugurated the new road earlier this year.

Selman & Associates Arquitectura resembled the new entrance after the Casa de Campo Hotel, which recently underwent its own renovations back in 2011 under their management. They wanted to bring the same elegant Caribbean vibe as seen in the hotel to the entrance of the resort, and thus used many similar materials, textures, and colors to accomplish these aspects.

We have Costasur to thank for the exceptional execution of a job well done, a comprehensive project that facilitates easier access for all villa owners and visitors. In addition, with the gorgeous landscaping we now have a new way to appreciate the beauty of Casa de Campo on the ride in.

The new Casa de Campo entrance – key features:

  • Located approximately o.5km off of the highway, to allow for efficient cueing on high traffic days – such as national holidays and concerts. Although of course with 2 entrances in operation and a more efficient entrance process, cueing on high traffic days should be a thing of the past
  • 4 lanes of access
  • A new Casa de Campo Villa Owners office – where visitors will be able to quickly and efficiently register for access to the Casa de Campo resort
  • A larger parking lot for visitors
  • Travel time / distance for visitors and residents staying in the “upper” residential areas of Casa de Campo will be significantly reduced. These areas include Los Altos, Altos de Chavón, Tennis Villas, Barranca, Barranca Este, Las Cañas, Los Tamarindos and others.
