Dinner in Casa de Campo is invariably a fabulous affair, and the Johnnie Walker Blue Label dinner with Nacho Figueras last Saturday the 26th of October was certainly no exception.
With a VIP guest list of Casa de Campo’s top polo players such as Leo Matos, Calixto Garcia-Velez, Dr. José Lopez and Herbert Schoderbock, Casa de Campo villa owners such architect of the Marina Casa de Campo Gianfranco Fini, the artist Leopoldo Maler, Alberto Jiménez, Erika Vilain, as well as Pepe Fanjul Jr. and Eduardo Martinez-Lima, this dinner brought together the crème de la crème of the Casa de Campo society.
Also in attendance was as Sergio Gobbi, who is currently working on his most recent movie production “La Extraña” being filmed right here in Casa de Campo.
Having just won the polo tournament earlier in the day (click here for photos), Nacho Figueras, one of the world’s top players joined the Casa de Campo guests for this very special 5-course dinner prepared by Chef Catherine Lemoine.
The menu designed to compliment the Johnnie Walker Blue Label was exquisite; Foie Gras served with a sweet plantain chutney, crispy pork belly over yuca puree, white tuna in a seafood sauce, duck magret marinated in Johnnie Walker Blue and finally Johnnie Walker Blue chocolate truffles.
Our hats off to Chef Catherine Lemoine for providing an excellent dining experience. Catherine Lemoine is the chef at Masai restaurant in Santo Domingo, which is also exceptional. An “international restaurant” serving delicious Thai and Peruvian influence dishes, it’s one of our favorites.
The dinner was accompanied by a tasting of Johnnie Walker Blue Label led by ambassador of Johnnie Walker for Latin America, Arturo Savage.
A truly unique and enjoyable dining and drinking experience.
