Jenny Polanco, famous Dominican designer, former student and teacher at the Altos de Chavón School, as well as Casa de Campo villa and business owner is stepping out into a new field of fashion design – shoes.

Created as part of the events surrounding Dominicana Moda, which is next week from the 21st to the 26th of October in Santo Domingo, Jenny Polanco’s debut into the world of shoe design will be launched tomorrow Wednesday the 16th of October at La Alpargatería in the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo.

This limited collection of shoes designed by Jenny Polanco are espadrilles (a type of sandals originating from Spain), and are typically Jenny Polanco in design. Chic white with lace and “carved horn” detailing, similar to what we saw being modelled by former Miss Dominican Republic, Dalía Fernandez at a recent photoshoot of the latest Jenny Polanco collection, shot in Casa de Campo. The espadrilles by Jenny Polanco come in 5 designs.

In support of the new espadrilles collection, a new line of clothing called “Talonera” has also been created, which include elements of the traditional espadrilles designs.

We hope the designs will be on sale soon at the Jenny Polanco stores in the Marina Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón!
