palmillaso Casa de Campo

There is nothing quiet like celebrating New Year’s Eve in Casa de Campo. From the boat to the beach it is one big non-stop party. Here’s how we welcomed 2014 – Casa de Campo style! Happy New Year everyone!

Having partied our way through December (the Christmas Café de la Leche, the inauguration of the season in Altos de Chavón, the holiday boat parade, the Sunset Jazz Night, the Cartier Benefit and the “Something Special” celebration with CasaLife at The Club to name just a few), there could be no doubt that the final party of 2013 would be spectacular.

And so bright and early on Tuesday the 31st of December 2013, the Marina Casa de Campo burst to life as hundreds, maybe thousands, of revellers arrived to set sail for Palmilla and the first New Year’s Eve celebration – the Palmillaso.

Celebrated every year on December the 31st, the Palmillaso New Year’s Party at sea has become the most popular, opulent and unmissable event of the entire Casa de Campo calendar. It’s when champagne, boats and music combine with dancing, bikinis and boat hopping.

And as the sun set for the last time in 2013 we all raised a toast to a year well spent… and set sail back to Casa – to continue the party at the La Romana Country Club, the Marina Casa de Campo, in Altos de Chavón, at numerous private parties at Casa de Campo villas around the resort, and finally at Minitas Beach.

While we couldn’t personally be at all parties (we tried once at it was a mess)… here’s a glimpse into just some of those New Year’s Eve parties around Casa de Campo:

The La Romana Country Club in Casa de Campo also hosts one of Casa de Campo’s most popular New Year’s Eve parties – and this year was no exception. With great food, live music and fireworks, it was the perfect way to welcome 2014… before many headed off to Minitas Beach.

An incredible “Robot” themed private party

New Years Eve Casa de Campo

This party hosted by Sergio and Corrine Gobbi at their oceanfront Casa de Campo villa was out of this world. With “robotic” dancing girls, a band flown in from France, miniature robots on every table, it was legendary.

And finally dancing until sunrise at Minitas Beach
