On Friday the 23rd of March, the “Semana de Francia” French Festival will reach extraordinary gastronomic heights with the “Exquisite Flavors of France” 5 course gala dinner, featuring the crème de la crème of French wines, the famous ¨Chateau Haut-Brion¨ and prepared by distinguished invited chefs from Le Cirque Las Vegas and “Le Domaine de Barbossi” in France.

With the participation of Clarence Dillon Wines, based in the Gironde region of France, whose President is Prince Robert of Luxemburg, guests at this very special gala-dinner will be treated to an extraordinary wine tasting experience led by sommelier Franck Thomas from “Le Domaine de Barbossi” and featuring the exceptional ¨Chateau Haut-Brion¨ wine, a Premier Cru Classé (First Growth) wine, considered the crème de la crème of Bordeaux wines with a case worth upwards of USD$3000.

President of Domaine Clarence Dillon, the vineyard that has produced the remarkable Château Haut-Brion wine since the 1600’s.

Whilst the exquisite 5 course dinner will be prepared by Grégory Pugin executive chef of Le Cirque Las Vegas, acclaimed as the “Best Chef of the Year”by the 2011 edition of ¨Desert Companion Magazine, Las Vegas¨, with a passion for creating classic French dishes and world-wide experience working with “France’s Chef of the Century”, Joël Robuchon. Whilst in Casa de Campo for the “Semana de Francia”  Grégory Pugin will be working with with sous-chef, Michael Galata from Le Cirque New York, who recreated the Beach Club by Le Cirque’s new restaurant menu in July 2011 (click here to find out more). Also in the kitchen will be invited chefs from “Le Domaine de Barbossi” in France; Robert Remi and patisserie chef Eric Bonneau.

The 5 course set menu which includes lobster, Foie Gras, sea urchin, king crab and kobe beef can be seen below.

In addition to the fine wines and exquisite French delicacies, which will undoubtedly be the central attractions at this magnificent dinner, entertainment will be provided by the French jazz group “Sextet Bony & Co.”

The “Semana de Francia”: 22nd – 25th of March

The “Semana de Francia”, 4 day event will incorporate a multitude of business, technological, cultural and gastronomic activities all over Casa de Campo with the exceptional spot of Altos de Chavón transformed into a typical “village Francaise”, with gastronomic, artistic and technological fair open every day from 10am – 10pm animated with street performers and a lively program of musical and theatrical events!
