As part of Altos de Chavón’s 30th anniversary celebrations and the French Dominican Chamber of Commerce (CCDF) 25th anniversary, Casa de Campo and the CCDF, sponsored by the French Embassy in the Dominican Republic celebrated the “Semana de Francia” French Festival, an extraordinary 4 day event which converted Altos de Chavón into a typical “petite village Francaise” with numerous business and cultural activities from Thursday March 22nd to Sunday March 25th 2012!
On Thursday March 22nd, the event was inaugurated with an official inauguration ceremony on the main Altos de Chavón plaza (click here for photos) and Altos de Chavón was transformed into “un petit village francais”, with a gastronomy, arts and technology fair lining the cobbled streets.
On Friday March the 23rd, the 1st French festival brought together more than 200 business leaders and official representatives of both countries for the 1st ever French-Dominican Business Forum, with special guest speaker his Excellency Dr. Leonel Fernandez Reyna, President of the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile in other areas of Casa de Campo, Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and guests enjoyed golf, polo and tennis tournaments, as well as sampled the famous Château Haut-Brion wine and fine French cuisine at the Gala-Dinner “Exquisite Flavors of France” on Friday evening March the 23rd.
