Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and visitors are all cordially invited to the 22nd annual Cartier Benefit hosted by Emilia and J.Pepe Fanjul at their Casa de Campo estate Casa Grande, an occasion which will be celebrated on Sunday the 29th of December 2013.
The annual event, which has over the last 20 years raised more than US$2 million for the Fundación MIR and Hogar del Niño charities, once again promises Casa de Campo villa owners and guests a glamorous and entertaining evening to include the Cartier exhibit and an auction, accompanied by cocktails on the terrace and followed by a delicious dinner and dancing.
With more than 300 elegant attendees last year’s gathering raised a total of more than US$125,000, a sum split evenly between the two causes, charities who both strive to provide care and an excellent education for children of the greater La Romana area.
Preparations are already underway to make this year’s celebration even more successful than the last, so save the date and get your tickets now!

On Saturday December the 29th 2012, Casa de Campo’s most glamorous society members, many here to celebrate the holidays in the glorious Dominican sunshine, convened at Casa Grande, the magnificent oceanside estate of the Fanjul family where Emilia and J.Pepe Fanjul hosted the 21st annual Cartier Benefit in aid of both the Fundación MIR and Hogar del Niño.
This year, the 20th annual Cartier Benefit was once again hosted at the Fanjul’s Casa de Campo oceanside estate, Casa Grande; a sprawling traditional wooden home set in tropical gardens with a private beach. Although numerous private dinners, cocktails and events are hosted at Casa Grande throughout the year, the “Cartier Benefit” is the only occasion that does not require an invite and so for many members of the Casa de Campo community, is a rare opportunity to see and be seen at one of Casa de Campo’s most impressive dwellings.
The event, hosted annually by Pepe and Emilia Fanjul is a fundraising event open to everyone and this year was very well attended by more than 200 Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and guests who spent a very pleasant evening enjoying a beautiful evening in the exquisite Casa Grande, sipping Dom Pérignon champagne, taking part in the raffle, the silent auction and the live auction – all in aid of the MIR Charities and the Hogar del Niño!
The live auction, for which Pepe Fanjul was the auctioneer included some very interesting items, many of which had been donated by generous members of the Casa de Campo community. Items included a Cartier watch, dinner for 4 at the Le Cirque’s Chef’s table in New York, a 7-night stay at the Orient-Express Hotels in Italy and a 7-day Mediterranean cruise among many others.
