Casa de Campo invites guests and residents to honor International Yoga Day with a special morning session. The event will take place on June 21, at 8:15 a.m., on the shores of Minitas Beach. Led by Kyra Montagu and Jackie Arvelo, this open-air class offers a calm, restorative experience focused on breath, movement and mindfulness.

Yoga by the Sea
This year’s practice will center on Hatha yoga, a gentle but powerful style that blends physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation. With ocean waves as the soundtrack, participants will flow through slow-paced movements designed to ease anxiety and restore emotional balance.
“The world moves fast, and stress levels are high,” said Montagu during an interview with Casa de Campo Living. “Yoga allows people to slow down, breathe deeply and reset emotionally.”
The session is open to all levels. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, all you need is a mat and comfortable clothes.

Wellness With Purpose
This year’s theme — Yoga for One Earth, One Health — underscores yoga’s broader purpose. The practice not only supports personal health but also promotes environmental awareness. As Montagu explains, mindfulness cultivated on the mat often leads to more conscious, sustainable choices off it.
International Yoga Day, first proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reminds us that yoga is “a means to discover oneness with oneself, the world, and nature.”
Roll out your mat on June 21 and celebrate the power of movement, stillness and unity.
