This month, the ladies of the Patronáto Benéfico Oriental took one of their most anticipated events to Lucas Restaurant in North Buena Vista. Hosted by our friends Lisa Mayda and Arlin Fernandez, it was all that we expected for a lovely gathering and more.
In a place that has always been popular among Casa de Campo villa owners, Lucas restaurant had quite the turnout last Friday April 8th. Many ladies seated themselves in the restaurant’s beautiful green garden that made for the perfect spot for this month’s Café de la Leche. Lisa is no stranger to organizing events in favor of the Hogar del Niño; remember back in 2014 the BINGO game that also took place at Lucas?
As always Lucas Restaurant carries a delicious menu selection. On a decorated table, Lisa and Arlin prepared the most appetizing snacks: polenta with gorgonzola cheese, mascarpone and brie tart, mini focaccias, ratatouille, eggplant caponata, Lucas’ famous cannolis, and many sweet treats. It was so appetizing.
Friday celebrated a wonderful afternoon where great food was combined with amazing company. Café de la Leche get-togethers help support the more than 200 babies of the “Sala Cuna” (crib room) at the Hogar del Niño.
We can’t wait to see what’s next in store for Café de la Leche!
