This holiday season in Casa de Campo promises to be an exciting one, with new establishments, like 30Sinco re-freshening the dining and nightlife scene. Last month we let you know that Papa Jack’s was sold and closing, and today we are exclusively introducing Bar Monaco, the new stylish establishment that will take its place this December 2016.
Bar Monaco will take us back to Monaco in the 1950’s with style, fashion and the need for speed at the center of it all. With Formula One as the champagne bar’s theme, Bar Monaco is set to open in just a few months, and the preparations for the grand opening are being completed in turbo speed! The place is being gutted out entirely and everything from the kitchen, bathroom and porches are going to be brand new.
In addition to a slew of elegant cocktails gracing the fine cocktail menu, the food menu will be as innovative as it will be fun. Taking us on a tour of the 21 Grand Prix destinations where Formula One takes place, Carlos Chapellin—Bar Monaco’s chef and partner—is preparing a molecular menu of international dishes that will surely entice diners to spend sunsets enjoying the fabulous view of the Chavón River sipping on champagne flutes and trying exciting menu items to share.
Drew Asch, founder and co-owner, tells Casa de Campo Living that “Bar Monaco will bring an international flare to Casa de Campo, while looking to integrate the cultural essence of Altos de Chavón in everything we do.” He also shared with us that the Formula One inspired concept will express itself throughout the three different areas of the establishment. The first floor is the main dining and lounge area with Formula One memorabilia contributing to the casual yet luxurious vibe. The Mediterranean-style second floor will have a lounge area ideal for afternoon cocktails and champagne, while the second floor’s outdoor porch will serve as an exclusive VIP area for special occasions.
In essence, Bar Monaco will bring something brand new to the already exciting dining scene in Casa. You can expect more details and exclusive insider’s info about Bar Monaco in the coming months…stay tuned!!! But for now, get ready for an unprecedented holiday season in Casa and catch up with the latest Formula One events to start getting in the mood! Stay tuned!
