This Saturday December the 1st, Carrefour will be celebrating it’s official opening in Altos de Chavón with a wine tasting and wine fair – and you are cordially invited to join the celebration.
Carrefour, who was previously open in Altos de Chavón during the “Semana de Francia”, will now be open through the entire month of December – offering Casa de Campo shoppers a superb range of high quality French produce, as well as household items and fine French wines. Please note, although Carrefour is planning to only be open during December, it is their hope (and ours!) that they will remain open long after that – as a permanent resident of Altos de Chavón – assuming we all turn out and shop there!
So this Saturday December 1st from 6pm, Carrefour cordially invites you, your friends and families to enjoy a wine tasting at the “wine cellar” part of the store (there will also be household items, a homeware department, dry food and a fresh food market in different areas), AND as part of the event they will also be hosting a “wine fair” – your opportunity to restock your wine cellar for Christmas with a 10% discount off all wines!

Inauguration Wine Tasting and Wine Fair at Carrefour

(The new Carrefour store will be taking over not 1 but SEVERAL spaces in Altos de Chavón; the space previously occupied by the Casamontecristo Cigar Lounge – as well as even more space behind that, including a stone passageway being converted into a wine cellar, as well as the space it held during the “Semana de Francia” in March!)Cost: Completely free!
Also being celebrated in Altos de Chavón on Saturday evening is the annual ballet presentation by the “Academia de Ballet Elizabeth de Zeller”, this year called “Simplemente lo Mejor del Ballet”. The presentation begins at 7:30pm at the amphitheater – just a few steps away from the wine tasting with Carrefour, which means we can all enjoy both activities!
