This week, the Dominican Republic will be hosting one of its most important fashion events, Dominicana Moda. It is an event that many wait anxiously for during the year and go to support many of their favorite designers. The event has always had a spirit of social responsibility, allocating part of its income to more than 50 charities in our country. On Thursday, two events you cannot miss— the Chavón School of Design student collections which benefits the Altos de Chavón Cultural Center Fundación and Jaqueline Then for the Hogar del Niño. Now, while you’re there in the city, there’s another event to add to your agenda!
Recently, a friend of ours recommended we visit Wilmor Joyeros in Santo Domingo, and we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of jewelry we found in their store. The store opened back in 1990 and since then its founder and director, Ivania de Will has worked to create a space where people can go not only to buy jewelry, but also be a part of an experience, selecting jewelry that will fulfill an eventful occasion in their life.
For Ivania, jewelry represents an important part of her life in the selection of the collections and brands she carries. At Wilmor Joyeros, you can find Italian jewelry from brands like Piero Milano, Brumani, and Oramalia, all characterized by their fine quality and elegance.
With more than 20 years in the market, Wilmor Joyeros has been able to obtain great recognition not only locally but also overseas. In 2014, they were featured in a special edition of The Black Book of Jewelry Retail, a publication dedicated to choosing the best and most recognized jewelry stores in the world. Since then, the company has grown, opening new stores in Plaza Body Shop, Naco and its latest project at BlueMall Puntacana whilst keeping their main location at Ensanche Piantini, Plaza Cataluña, Santo Domingo.
This weekend they will be presenting an exquisite selection, hand picked by Ivania at Hotel Nicolás de Ovando, Calle Las Damas in the Zona Colonial as part of Dominicana Moda’s numerous events. It’s the perfect opportunity to see their pieces and even meet Ivana personally, to help you select the perfect piece! Make it part of activities you have planned for this very fashionable week!
