The 1st (hopefully annual) “Semana de Francia” will be celebrated in Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón next week, from Thursday March 22nd to Sunday March 25th! Oh la la!
Taking place as part of Altos de Chavón’s 30th anniversary celebrations and the 25th anniversary of the French Dominican Chamber of Commerce (CCDF), Casa de Campo and the CCDF, in collaboration with the French Embassy in the Dominican Republic, the “Semana de Francia” French Festival, will be an extraordinary 4 day event – and you are cordially invited to join the French fun!
Bienvenue!
Casa de Campo villa owners are invited to attend all events – we look forward to seeing you there!
The French festival will bring together more than 200 business leaders and official representatives of both countries for the 1st ever French-Dominican Business Forum, with special guest speaker his Excellency Dr. Leonel Fernandez Reyna, President of the Dominican Republic.
As Altos de Chavón is transformed into “un petit village francais”, a gastronomy, arts and technology fair will line the cobbled streets. There will be French food and drinks tastings, sales of French, Haitian and Dominican products, special menus at the restaurants and exhibits of the latest advances in modern technology. In addition there will also be numerous musical, theatrical and even gastronomical performances as well as an Auto Feria (car show) and lots of lively street performers.
In other areas of Casa de Campo, Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy golf, polo and tennis tournaments, as well as sample the famous Château Haut-Brion wine and fine French cuisine at the Gala-Dinner “Exquisite Flavors of France” on Friday evening.
Don’t miss this extravaganza celebration of French music and dancing at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater – with the “Gran Orchestre de Rene Coll”, the Dominican-French jazz singer, Cyrille Aimee and CAN-CAN dancers!
Entrance to this event is free and a LIMITED number of tickets are available in the Casa de Campo villa owners club – get yours NOW before it’s too late!
