Just a few days ago we saw that a group of Fundación MIR children came to Chavón to rehearse their traditional annual presentation, and if what we saw and heard is any indication of what will happen next Friday, December 22nd, we are sure it will be one of their best representations of Jesus’ arrival in Bethlehem.

The kids will dress in colorful, decorated costumes, including adorable shepherds, angels, wise men, and of course Mary and Joseph, and perform in front of the Casa de Campo and La Romana community. They will be singing traditional Dominican carols, and as always bring their own special charm to a beautiful story. The event will be in the main Plaza at Altos de Chavón, in front of the St. Stanislaus Church and is free of charge. As a bonus, you and your kids will also be able to visit Santa’s tropical vacation home in front of the gallery just in time to deliver their Christmas wishlist!

These kids truly have the voices of angels and will definitely get you even more in the holiday spirit, and inspire you to continue helping these children and others who need it. Back on December 8th, as part of this year’s holiday program, our kids were taught a valuable lesson, the importance of giving – and in this case, a toy or cash donation given guaranteed the receipt of a Magic Pass to see Santa! Don’t forget to bring the kids next week to witness exactly where their donations are going and the love and care that should be given to these talented children.

Mark your calendars for December 22nd at 6:30 pm and come out and join the children of Fundación MIR follow the star to Bethlehem! Also, make sure not to miss any of the other exciting holiday activities find the complete holiday calendar of events below.
