Let the Christmas festivities begin! This holiday season Altos de Chavón is the place to celebrate! For a couple of days now we’ve seen men hard at work installing lights to make sure that this is a magical season for all. The traditional Christmas Lighting Ceremony and official inauguration to this merry season is THIS Friday, December 8th, and we thought it would be helpful to bring you the FULL schedule of holiday events coming your way.
The now dormant lights will shine bright starting this week making this artists village an even more spectacular place. We will soon be able to see how lights adorn the St. Stanislaus Church from rooftop to bell tower, down the cobblestone path, every restaurant, store, and house in Altos de Chavón will transform into a magnificent venue with the magic of Christmas.
This year, there will be a very special addition to the holiday program which will teach our kids the importance of giving to those who need it the most. On Friday, starting at 6:00 pm, little ones will be able to receive a Magic Pass to Santa’s House. To receive one all they have to do is bring in a new toy or cash donation that will go to Hogar del Niño and Fundación MIR. Once inside Santa’s house, they can personally bring in their letters and talk to Santa about what they want for Christmas. We hope that you’ve all been good this year!
At 7:30pm, the Lighting Ceremony begins with the Christmas tree, marking the start of the joy filled holiday. Following the display of lights, a Christmas concert the Koribe Choir, directed by Prof. Nadia Nicola, will take place with the singing of traditional Christmas carols. This, mind you, is only the beginning! With a variety of holiday events throughout the season, there is definitely something for everyone. Find the complete program below, we hope to see you all here…
