On Thursday evening the 19th of December, Casa de Campo celebrated the opening of an outstanding new art exhibit at the Altos de Chavón Gallery by Italian artist Angela Occhipinti.
“El Viaje, recorridos de la memoria” had a total of 30 pieces that everyone excitedly admired, so much so that before the night was over a great number of the pieces had already been purchased by the gathered Casa de Campo villa owners and art aficionados.
The artwork of Angela Occhipinti from Perugia, Italy, is truly unique and fascinating. She uses mixed techniques on paper (etching, aquatint, lithography, screen printing, collage and painting) as well as on canvas, and portrays almost mathematical imagery, with her favorite theme being kites, used to symbolise “the journey and the search for the soul and the life of man on earth.”
“For me, paper becomes the perfect place to tell the life and emotions of man on earth.” Angela told Casa de Campo Living in an interview about her works. The full interview, as well as many more images of her incredible work will be published next week.
