Back in March we brought you a “rumor alert” that JetBlue would soon be flying 3 times a week between La Romana and New York – and now we can announce that not only is it true – but also that the flights are already for sale!

JetBlue already flies between the La Romana – Casa de Campo international airport twice a week (on Wednesdays and Saturdays), and now starting from Monday the 24th of June, this will be increased to 3 times a week. Sadly there is a catch – the extra Monday flight will only be available on a “trial” basis from Monday the 24th of June through to Monday September the 2nd.

BUT the good news is… if this “trial” goes well, the new schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) will be reinstated from November – permanently!

So, if any of you are planning a trip to or from New York, between June and September – please take advantage of the new Monday flight – the more successful it is the more likely it will become permanent! [Although we have heard from a very trusted source that is is already highly likely to become permenant – fingers crossed!]

Oh and in case you needed another reason to book you Monday flight to or from New York… they are the cheapest! Currently the Monday flight is priced at US$285 per person one-way, whilst the Wednesday and Saturday flights are priced between US$285 and US$574.
