Food blogger and gastronomic journalist and creator of BocaTips, Elaine Hernández Pión will be hosting a writing workshop specialized in gastronomy and tourism, “Creative writing for Foodies”! The activity will take place TOMORROW Saturday, April 28th, in Studio Cocina by chef Gabriella Reginato. This is the sixth edition of this workshop and will have chef Gabriella Reginato as guest special, who will also be sharing with the attendee’s key points not only about her cooking expertise but also on how she manages her social networks.
So what can you do after taking a writing workshop specialized in gastronomy? Well a lot! This is your chance to boost your food or tourism photos and the captions that accompany them. You will be learning to tell stories through gastronomic experiences and to have a different relationship with what you eat by being interested in its ingredients and how to describe them.
The workshop is aimed at gastronomic entrepreneurs: nutritionists, chefs, pastry chefs, community managers, journalism students, hospitality and tourism students, gastronomic influencers, sommeliers and editors interested in writing inspired by gastronomy. Elaine, who has a master’s degree in communication and gastronomic journalism by Foodie Studies in Madrid, pointed out that this workshop, adapted for the east zone, has a duration of three hours and addresses, among other points: how to identify and describe the ingredients of a dish; describe aromas and textures; build a gastronomic story; and the use of adjectives that add value to the description. “Gastronomy is a vehicle of identity and content creators must make use network strategy and social networks as a way to communicate with their audience. Achieving this requires not only the use of an attractive image but also a descriptive text that stimulates the senses and connects with the emotions”,
The workshop will also have a “hands-on” experience with Gabriella Reginatto in which she will be preparing tapas for the attendees to practice what has been learned and “tell a story”.
