The new year hasn’t started and we already have events to jot down in our calendar! The Hogar del Niño will host its Solidarity Golf Tournament at the Las Romana Country Club on February 19th, it’s the perfect way to have a great time and be charitable.

Golf is indeed a popular pastime that offers an excellent way to enjoy the outdoors, it’s a great sport to practice during these times that call for social distancing, and it brings communities together as we’ve seen so often for a good cause – together there’s no doubt we really make a difference! As always your support will have the same or greater impact on the lives of the children and young people of the Hogar del Niño and their communities.

In the midst of a thousand uncertainties and difficulties, the Patronato Benéfico Oriental and the Hogar del Niño have worked proactively finding solutions to the continuous daily challenges, monitoring the well-being of their students through medical care, the department of psychology and social work, and focusing on ensuring the best education hand in hand with innovation and technology (which are essential today), this being a challenging issue for their students since they have very limited or no access to internet services at home. It is the PBO’s goal to provide access to quality learning for all by investing in literacy and digital infrastructure.

Let’s join them in their efforts by participating, supporting, or donating! Save the date!
