Are you ready for the most magical time of the year? Well save the date for the start of the holiday season – the Christmas Cafe de la Leche! One of our favorite events of the Casa de Campo social calendar!
Hosted by Xiomara Menéndez, this most magical Café de la Leche normally takes place on the first Friday of December, but due to the Don Quijote Ballet on December 5th and the Casa de Campo Corre on December 6th, the Hogar del Niño decided to push the gathering back to the Friday December 12th.
So why do we love the Christmas Café de la Leche?
1. It marks the start of the holiday season in Casa de Campo. (Unofficially.)
2. The home of Xiomara Menédez (where the gathering takes place) is a magical winter wonderland, with dozens of glistening Christmas Trees and even a miniature Christmas village.
3. Eggnog! Who doesn’t love eggnog?!
4. We collect candies! For the Christmas Café de la Leche, instead of milk, the Hogar del Niño requests donations of candies for their school Christmas party.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Café de la Leche!
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
