Sabores_del_Mediterraneo_Cena What happens when you combine the great atmosphere at Altos de Chavón with live music, signature mixologists’ cocktails, great company and two of the best chefs in the Dominican Republic? The answer is simple, amazing gourmet recreations of Italy’s and Spain’s traditional home style food. This past Friday, the Casa de Campo community, guests and local socialites enjoyed a special treat: Sabores del Mediterraneo, an “effortlessly elegant” evening hosted by Casa de Campo. Sabores_del_Mediterraneo_Cena_2Chef Ciro Casola, from Santo Domingo’s Osteria da Ciro and Casa de Campo’s own, Chef Anthony Masas truly outdid themselves as they each interpreted their home country’s homestyle food and signature dishes in the most creative way possible. Throughout the night, Chef Masas treated the more than 150 guests to Spanish tapas and small plates that were passed around to guests gathered at Plaza Chavon, as well as an array of spectacular deserts that left us calling the waiters over to our table one too many times! Ciro Casola, greeted guests with a traditional Italian meal featuring exquisite dishes that had the crowds lining up for more! While the cuisine truly made this a night to remember, the evening was reminiscent of a family dinner.
