Back in the midst of the festive month of December, Casa de Campo villa owner and beloved member of the community, Mignon Bellini hosted a beautiful dinner party in honor of her friend, Angela Occhipinti, an artist from Italy.
Angela from Perugia, Italy is the current exhibiting artist at The Gallery in Altos de Chavón, and her exhibit “El Viaje, recorridos de la memoria” will continue to be open until January the 20th.
During the dinner party hosted by Mignon, friends of the greater Casa de Campo community came together to enjoy a pleasant evening of great food, drinks and laughter – the perfect opportunity to get to know Angela – ahead of the official exhibit opening which took place the following evening in Altos de Chavón (click here for photos).
Mignon, who we know as a golf lover and a great cook – most famous for her Indian dinners (click here) – did not disappoint on this occasion. The menu included a fantastic fish dish, topped with “mapuey”, a Dominican root vegetable, which is a lot like potato, but even more delicious and full of healthy nutrients. Meanwhile the dinner ended on a high note with Mignon’s speciality – home made ice-cream.
