The prestigious Latino Baseball Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday January 28th, the activities included in the Sixth Week of Exaltation, corresponding to the Class of 2015, which will be taking place this week from February the 6th to 8th, in Santo Domingo, Casa de Campo and La Romana.
The announcement was made public through a press conference held at the La Romana Country Club, located in the Casa de Campo resort, bringing together some of the most renowned communicators from La Romana.
The celebrations will begin on Thursday 5th with the reception of the luminaries, guests and attendees, who will enjoy a welcome cocktail at the Hotel El Embajador in Santo Domingo. This activity is private and not open to the public.
On Friday the 6th of February, activities will continue with a presidential visit to the National Palace to meet the president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina. Later that same day, at 5pm the statues of luminaries of the Class of 2014 will be revealed in the Central Park of La Romana. This activity is open to the public.
On the morning of Saturday the 7th of February, the INMORTALES Golf Tournament, sponsored by Casa de Campo will be played on the Teeth of the Dog golf course. Members of the public are cordially invited to take part – please click here for details.

The commemorative activities will then close on Saturday February the 7th with the Grand Exaltation Ceremony, which will see 10 former Latin American players inducted into the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame in the amphitheater at Altos de Chavon.

During the ceremony, and as every year, special awards are given to players and Executives for their careers and contributions to the latino baseball. This year the Latin Gold Award is for Johnny Cueto. The Felipe Rojas Alou Award to Derek Jeter, as well as the Excellence Award will be received personally by the Major League Baseball commissioner, Rob Manfred.
