Morning or afternoon, most of us can’t walk from one end of Plaza Chavón to the other without breaking a little sweat. Acknowledging the ferocity of summer heat in Casa de Campo is all to easy these days and even a short bike ride in the resort will have you feeling the full effects of the sun in no time! This is why we’re very grateful La Tienda in Altos de Chavón brings in a breezy, cool collection that knows how to handle summer.
Adorable straw hats made right here in the workshops will keep your face from an unsightly burn while simple knit blouses make lounge wear and yoga wear comfortable pieces for a range of activities. La Tienda adds the line Kudalaut by fashion designer and surf champion Ruth Parra to its assortment, offering sea-green colors, prints, and tropical styles.
The best part? They’re so lightweight! Easy to wear dresses you can throw over a bathing suit, matching yoga attire that will make sun salutations all the brighter, colorful beach bags, and printed swimsuits are some of what you’ll find in their new collection.
Plus, as always La Tienda keeps in stock its plethora of locally designed and produced clothing, accessories, and home goods. If you’re scouting for placemats, pottery, hammocks, T-shirts, or handbags, La Tienda’s the place for handcrafted merchandise. We’re gaga over their woven, fringe tote. Multiple sizes allow you to choose from simple messenger bags to large beach totes, big enough for towels, toys, and items for the whole family!
Featured in Casa de Campo Living magazine’s latest issue, La Tienda’s Kudalaut swimsuit and wrap (pictured right along with Everett Designs necklace, Art Arena hat, and Jenny Polanco bracelets) can be found in the fashion spread. See more products in the gallery below, taken by Laura Perdomo, and visit the store in Altos de Chavón to see their full collection.
