We’re pleased to announce that our La Romana Airport, Casa de Campo, has become the main access point of Italian tourism in the Dominican Republic!
This thanks to the passengers that arrive on a regular basis coming from Rome and Milan, aboard the Alitalia, Blue Panorama, Meridiana Fly and Neos Air Lines.
Last year the La Romana Airport, Casa de Campo reported a 12% increase over the previous year in tourist arrivals from Europe, proving that not only do Italians love Casa de Campo, but they also love the entire La Romana – Bayahibe area!
“For years the Italian market has been quite interested in us, not only as an airport but as a tourist destination. This motivated us to develop some special initiatives for them, and we’re happy to continue to be the main access point for Italians arriving to the Dominican Republic”, said Luis Emilio Rodriguez, Manager of La Romana Airport, Casa de Campo. “Our goal is to maintain this leading position and increase the number of arrivals, an endeavour which we are working very hard at” he added.
According to the latest statistics released by Asonahores, the Italian market has increased arrivals by almost 4% in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, , indicating that this year we can expect the number of Italian visitors to continue to increase.
