La Morela in the Marina Casa de Campo opened at the end of last year and has since then earned itself a reputation of serving the most consistently delicious food in the entire Casa de Campo resort.
In recognition of La Morela’s really fantastic culinary offering, we featured the restaurant in our most recent edition of TODO Casa de Campo guide-magazine, which has been in circulation since March. Here we bring you the digital version of the review published in TODO Casa de Campo.
La Morela, “Pop Food” – delicious and different!
La Morela, Casa’s newest and hippest addition to dining in the Marina is daring to do something different. Their “pop food” concept is a finely honed combination of popular dishes, hence the name “pop”… that can’t be neatly boxed into any one cuisine, except perhaps that of “good food”!
On the menu you’ll find light bites, which the ladies love. The Mahi Mahi green sauce ceviche (RD$470) is excellent, and a little spicy, while their “La Carpacheria” selection, especially the lobster with passion fruit dressing (RD$610) is a favorite, as is the hummus (RD$390) served with pita bread or casabe. Another healthy option with great flavor is the Salmon with quinoa salad and orange-saffron reduction (RD$860).
Moving on to the heartier dishes, we have the Morela Burger (RD$485), easily Casa’s best burger, served with Casa’s best french fries. Not to mention the Grandma Pork Ribs (RD$675), so finger-licking good that they’ll have you going back time and again.
After all that if you have enough space, we recommend Carol’s Bread Pudin, a devilishly delicious end to your night out. And don’t forget to try their signature Cava cocktail, the Morela Pick Me Up (RD$295).
