With the participation of 4 teams; HOLA, La Carbuccia, Los Garcia and La Lopera, this exciting polo tournament was played in a direct elimination format, with the semifinals being played on Tuesday and the finals on Saturday.
In the first semifinal Los Garcia went up againts La Carbuccia in a very tight game, which was won in the last minute by Los Garcias with a final score of 8 to 7. The other semifinal was La Lopera vs Hola. Hola raced to a 5 goal lead starting the 3rd chukker, but La Lopera came back and ended up winning the game 12 to 10.
The final then took place on Saturday March 14th as La Lopera faced off to Los Garcia, a very strong and competitive team lead by the Captain Roberto Garcia Bisono. “It was a very tough and close game, with some very good, hard polo on display”, Julio López told Casa de Campo Living. La Lopera ended up winning by two goals 9 to 7 in what was a very good final match.
