Teeth of the Dog has been repeatedly named the top golf course in the Caribbean, and within the top 50 golf courses in the world, well now, Casa de Campo’s most famous golf course has earned the island of La Hispaniola the #6 slot in LINKS magazine’s list of the “The Top 25 Islands.”

“The Top 25 Islands” is exactly what the name suggests; a list of the top 25 islands as ranked by LINKS magazine. “LINKS magazine for the first time ever has ranked the world’s water-wrapped land masses based purely on the strength of their golf,” explains LINKS golf magazine, who describes itself as “the most sophisticated, engaging and surprising publication in the industry, one that helps readers fuel their passion for the game and enjoy the golf lifestyle in new and stimulating ways.”
Coming in at #1 on the list was Great Britain, “with more golf courses than any island on the planet—in fact, almost 1,000 more including over 30 of the world’s top 100—the sceptered isle is clearly in a class by itself.” And so while La Hispaniola was no match for the United Kingdom, our fair isle comprised of Haiti and the Dominican Republic held it’s own at #6 on the list.
“Hispaniola may not ring a bell as a golf mecca, unless you know it’s the island that contains the Dominican Republic, home to the resorts at Casa de Campo and Punta Cana, whose courses make it hands down the number one golf destination in the Caribbean,” said LINKS magazine.
And where in La Hispaniola do we find the jewel in the glittering crown of Dominican golf? Why right here in Casa de Campo, on the Teeth of the Dog with it’s seven magnificent oceanside holes.

Congratulations to La Hispaniola and of course to Casa de Campo – who was also just crowned “Best Golf Resort” in the Gold Magellan Awards given by Travel Weekly magazine.
