The joys of being a kid are presenting themselves in many fashions this weekend. Already we’ve mentioned several activities for kids that will be available in Altos de Chavón for Fall Fest this Sunday like inflatable games, La Vecindad’s arts & crafts workshops, clay making & face-painting at the Archeological Museum, Trick-or-Treating throughout all the establishments, and a booth set up by Collares Rojos to meet and greet the pups up for adoption! As young ones enjoy all these things and more – like poking around the pop-up market, and dining with you on some sweet brunch specials, they’ll also have the opportunity to meet surprise cartoon characters!
Disney’s Minnie Mouse will be out and about around the Plaza in Altos de Chavón from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for Fall Fest and Universal Studios’ hilariously lovable minions from “Despicable Me” will be there from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m! Don’t miss the chance for your little ones to take a picture with their favorite cartoon characters. Additionally, for those who like to get their hands a little dirty, The Gallery will have a pumpkin carving table set up and children from 7-10 years old can carve out some scary jack-o-lantern faces or a toothy happy grin! Spots are LIMITED so RSVP calling The Gallery with the extension 8470. Remember to bring your own pumpkin!
Fall happens to be one of my favorite times of the year; as a forever North Carolinian at heart, I enjoy autumn’s cooler weather, the red and orange leaves that fill the mountain landscapes, and the festivals that always surround this exciting season. This year though, I have the pleasure of seeing how Casa de Campo celebrates October and I’m more than thrilled to visit Altos de Chavón this weekend for their Fall Festival!
