The Altos de Chavón Fall Fest is only days away! We have united with all the local shops and restaurants to bring you amazing discounts and surprises you cannot miss! The restaurants will offer one-day only brunch menus, mimosas, and even live music which we’ll fill you in on tomorrow. In addition to awesome FREE activities for the kids, the stores are presenting new collections as well discounts, exclusive Fall Fest merchandise, workshops and even special guests! Since Halloween is officially the following Monday, the restaurants and shops are giving out candy for Fall Fest’s Trick-or-Treat, and we recommend bringing the kids along to visit all the various establishments. As most of you already know, Emilio Robba is a famous Parisian designer with collections all over the world, one being right here in our artistry town of Altos de Chavón. This Sunday during Fall Fest Emilio, Robba Art Studios will have a sneak peak of its beautiful new collection and amazing discounts on selected pieces! We’re talking 25-40 % OFF! La Tienda Gift Shop, located directly below Café Marietta in Altos de Chavón, revolves around the artist lifestyle, and they work with local designers, artists, graphic designers and graduates from the Altos de Chavón School of Design, as well as the Altos de Chavón workshops to create very unique products. This Sunday, in participation with our Fall Fest spirit, they’ll be decorating their hallways with folkloric Halloween decorations, and as we advised they will be giving out candy to all the little ones who visit the store. In the front from 10am-12pm, La Tienda will have a ceramic demonstration with one of their experienced artisans and exclusive, ONE DAY ONLY T-shirts with Fall Fest designs being sold for only US$10!

Everett Designs carries an vast collection of rare 17th and 18th century silver and gold coins, and their ‘Treasure Coins’ collection features coins ranging from ½ Real to 8 Real. Patricio Correa is an artist dedicated to crafting pieces made of recycled wood and painted in vibrant bright colors. What makes his work even more interesting is that they are all fish sculptures. He has presented his work in various places, such as the Centro Leon in Santiago and in Agora Mall.

In December 2011, the first Dominique Calderón shop was opened within the facilities of the Hotel Santo Domingo. She specializes in handcrafting jewelry of Amber, Larimar, Silver and many other precious materials. Her styles are great for gift-gifting, and her artwork makes for a lovely complement to your home or office decor.
Los Tejedores is a project about linking the tradition of weaving with natural materials with a contemporary design novelty. They work in Santo Domingo with Dominican and Haitian artisans.
