Dominican fashion designer, cultural advocate and Casa de Campo villa owner, Jenny Polanco, is at it again! On Friday August 15th, Jenny Polanco invites you to the opening of her latest art exhibit “Good…Bad Hair” an enchanting combination of art, fashion and photography.
This new exhibit, shot largely here in Casa de Campo, is an amusing and yet beautiful collection of fashion photography, featuring models with comically bad hair. Perhaps the message is that good fashion can overcome even the worst bad-hair-day?
Whatever the message, we look forward to seeing it in all it’s glory! The inauguration cocktail will take place on Friday August 15th from 7pm, while the exhibit itself will be open at The Gallery until the 8th of September.
In recent years, Jenny Polanco has presented a number of art-fashion-photography exhibits to the Casa de Campo community, exhibited here at The Gallery in Altos de Chavón. Most recently, in August 2012, we enjoyed “Buscando Esencia” by Jenny Polanco & Emiliano Larizza, a really interesting exhibit that showcased not only Jenny Polanco’s beautiful fashion designs, but also the unrivalled beauty of the Dominican Republic, including La Romana.
Meanwhile in December 2010 we enjoyed the “La Moda Como Musa” exhibit, a joint photography project between Jenny Polanco and Tiziano De Stefano.
Jenny Polanco who has 3 stores in the Casa de Campo resort (2 in Altos de Chavón, 1 in the Marina Casa de Campo), is not only a graduate and former teacher of the Altos de Chavón School of Design, but is also the “Gestora Cultural” (cultural advocate) for La Romana and is currently working closely with the Dominican Ministry of Culture on the development of the recently inaugurated Aldea Cultural Santa Rosa de Lima, cultural village in La Romana.
