The most outstanding golfers at the INMORTALES golf tournament were the Higuera Family and dominicans Ubaldo Jimenez, who recently signed a Major League contract with the Baltimore Orioles, as well as José León, Montgomery Reyes and Teodoro Ursino Reyes.
At the end of the event, everyone gathered at the 18th hole of the Teeth of the Dog golf course – the Lago Grill – for the prize-giving ceremony, where the winners received their trophies and recognition plaques.
The INMORTALES golf tournament was one of the many events celebrated as part of the 5th inductions into the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (Salon de la Fama del Besibol Latino), which was celebrated at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater on Saturday February 8th. INMORTALES Golf Tournament Winners
First place was taken by Mexican pitcher, Teodoro Higuera, who played in Major League Baseball from 1985 to 1994, he was accompanied by his family, Lulu, Bryan and Freddy making 64 net strokes, on an event hosted by the founder and president of Latino Baseball Hall of Fame, Roberto Weil and with the technical supervision of Gilles Gagnon, golf director in Casa de Campo.
Second place went to the Dominicans foursome made up of Major League Baseball Superstar Ubaldo Jimenez, who was accompanied by Montgomery Reyes, José León and Teodoro Ursino Reyes, making 65 net strokes.
