Hogar del Niño Weekend is THIS week! Soon we will have a chance to enjoy with friends and family a fabulous weekend filled with activities on behalf of the children of Hogar del Niño. This is your opportunity to register for all the sports activities we have to look forward to in the coming days.
The 23rd annual Hogar del Niño fundraising weekend starts on Friday 14th with two new and fun activities, a Flea Market at The Living Room by Good Vibe and a Yoga class with Jackie Arvelo at the La Romana Country Club. But that’s not all because on the following day February 15th, they will be hosting a bike tour around Casa starting at One Way Café in La Marina; their traditional golf tournament and the tennis tournament, and to finish with a flourish, a fantastic dinner dance party – This years theme will be SUPERHEROES! We can’t wait to see all the student’s costumes!
We’ve compiled a list of all the details you need to know and can plan ahead for an awesome weekend. So how can you get involved? FLEA MARKET – NEW ACTIVITY!

YOGA CLASS – NEW ACTIVITY!
Yoga’s health benefits have been known to humankind for thousands of years. It is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India now practiced around the world and continues to grow in popularity. Start the weekend in good physical, mental and spiritual shape with Jackie Arvelo and sign up for this class!

Saturday, February 15th
This is definitely a fun and interesting way to enjoy one of Casa’s favourite hobbies, spots and beauty! This is open to all ages, so join in and start the day on a high note! If you do not have a bicycle, don’t worry! Our One way bike friends will have them available for rent, but they must go before February 14.
* Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The annual Hogar del Niño Weekend Tournament features two tee times in order for everyone to be able to participate and includes dinner.

This year the annual Hogar del Niño Weekend Tennis Tournament will be divided in two categories, Amateurs in a double round robin format and Juniors for teens 14-18 years old.

DINNER DANCE PARTY – Super Hero themed!
The annual Hogar del Niño Weekend Dinner Dance Party serves as the closing event, and features an award ceremony for the various tournaments that took place earlier in the day, lots of dancing, and a “Super” theme!!

THE HOGAR DEL NIÑO
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s daycare and educational center for over 1500 children, located in La Romana town, just outside of Casa de Campo. Children from as young as just a few weeks old up to 18 years old are cared for and educated daily, from as early as 5:30am and staying as late as 7pm.
The organization also provides special schooling to over 75 hearing impaired and blind children, as well as a vocational school where over 235 students receive classes in different areas like: sewing; industrial preparation, installation and electrical maintenance; plumbing and management of computer office programs.
