Summer is just starting so we have a few months of very hot day ahead of us. The high temperatures means it’s especially important to stay hydrated! But what if you’re one of those people that just doesn’t like to drink water because it’s so flavorless and boring? There is hope for you yet – you can jazz up your water to stay hydrated while enjoying a delicious beverage!
All you need is some fresh produce and a pretty pitcher, or two, to store in the fridge. The combinations are endless but remember to stick with fresh, organic, fruits and veggies when possible instead of adding a splash of juice to your water.
Step one: pick some fruits and veggies and mash them up just a little to release their natural flavors and juices. If you’re using citrus remember to remove the peel otherwise you’ll be left with a bitter taste.
Step two: choose some fun herbs and gently bruise them by mashing them gently and add them to the fruit/veggies.
Step three: top with water and store in the fridge!
Not sure which combinations to try? Here are some great ones to play around with. Have fun with it and mix different fruits, veggies and herbs and you’ll be keeping yourself well hydrated in no time!
