The La Romana – Casa de Campo airport recently celebrated the arrival of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the most modern aircraft now being manufactured by Boeing.
This magnificent aircraft arrived from Warsaw, Poland with LOT Polish Airlines, bringing 247 passengers arriving to the country to enjoy their vacations at the nearby resorts of La Romana and Bayahibe, as well as Bavaro-Punta Cana, which is now just a 35 minute drive away. The arrival was celebrated with a traditional “water salute”.

Thanks to it’s excellent location in the middle of the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic; with Punta Cana now just a 35 minute drive and Santo Domingo a 45 minute drive (from December 30th when the new La Romana Bypass should be open), the La Romana – Punta Cana airport is becoming increasingly popular among tour operators and airlines. This airport also offers excellent service, facilities and competitive rates, other factors which have combined to make this international airport more busy than ever before.
In addition to this flight, arriving every 10 days from Warsaw, Poland, other flights arriving to the La Romana – Casa de Campo international airport include:
- jetBlue flights to New York, currently departing twice a week on Mondays and Saturdays, which will be increased with the addition of a Monday flight from December the 23rd, 2013
- to Madrid with Air Europa every Saturday and Monday through November to the end of March.
- daily flights to Miami with American Airlines, available until April the 28th, 2014.
