Interactive, thrilling and exciting! On Thursday afternoon the 23rd of May, the theatrical performance of “Pirate Assault” by the Dominican Street Theater group promises to be something fun for all ages!
Yet another component of the fun-filled schedule of the Festival de Primavera being celebrated in Altos de Chavón from the 23rd to the 26th of May, “Pirate Assault” directed by Prof. Carlota Carretero playfully tells the story of famous pirate Francis Drake.
Also taking place in Altos de Chavón on Thursday the 23rd of May as part of the Festival de Primaverais the Dominican Folk Dance Workshop (5pm at the Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archeology), the cocktail opening of the Abraham Lincoln School Art exhibit (7pm at The Gallery) as well as a String and Poetry Concert with the Quinteto Mirabal and poetry read by Sandra Mustelier (8:30pm at the “Fish Fountain”).
All these events make the opening night of the Festival de Primavera an excellent evening to be in Altos de Chavón – and after all that excitement why not stay in Chavón for a bite to eat? The Festival de Primavera 2013 (Spring Festival) will be celebrated in Altos de Chavón from the 23rd to the 26th of May – a magical occasion bringing the best of Dominican music and art to Casa de Campo! Expect performances by the the National Symphonic Orchestra conducted by the Maestro José Antonio Molina, the Dominican Street Theater, the Quinteto Mirabal (string quintet), the National School of Dance (ENDANZA) and the Dominican Wind Orchestra!

The Dominican Arts and Crafts Fair will be open on Thursday the 23rd of May from 3pm to 7pm and Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 24th, 25th and 26th of May from 10am to 7pm.
