Dominican artist, Fernando Varela cordially invites you to a talk “Una introducción a la comprensión del arte contemporaneo” on Friday the 22nd of February at 6:30pm – your chance to get to know this remarkable artist a little better and to amplify your understanding of the world of contemporary art. 

This talk will be held at “Espacio #7” on the Paseo del Mar in the Marina Casa de Campo – which is where Varela is currently showcasing his latest exhibition Fernando Varela: Recent Works – Paintings/Drawings” – opened on Thursday the 13th of December with a cocktail party sponsored by Silgon Inc. with Casa de Campo Living and Chivas Regal whiskey (please click here for photos of the occasion.)

“Una introducción a la comprensión del arte contemporaneo” will give attendees an insight into the world of contemporary art, whilst also revealing a unique and privileged insight into Varela’s own pieces – his inspiration and thoughts behind some of his most famous pieces.

Everyone is invited to attend this cultural gathering – although the talk will be given in SPANISH. If you are interested in this talk but do not speak Spanish, please contact us – if there is enough interest Fernando Varela will repeat the talk in English on another occasion.

A cocktail to celebrate the opening of  Varela’s “Recent Works”

On Thursday December 13th 2012, distinguished artist Fernando Varela celebrated the opening of his new exhibition “Fernando Varela Recent Works – Paintings/Drawings” at Paseo del Mar #7 at La Marina, Casa de Campo with the support of Silgon Inc. with Casa de Campo Living and Chivas Regal 18.
